Tumaini Rehabilitation Centre provides accessible, trauma-informed and culturally grounded care across mental health, substance use and youth resilience.
Through a 24/7 helpline, walk-in support and mobile outreach, Tumaini reaches individuals and families across Uganda with care that respects dignity, community and lived experience.
Tumaini’s First Residential Recovery Facility
Tumaini already provides support through its helpline, walk-in services and mobile outreach. The next step is to create its first residential detoxification and recovery facility at Sumbwe Community Hospital.
This facility will give people who need more intensive support a safe place for structured care, counselling, recovery and reintegration—close to the wider hospital team and community.

What Your Support Will Make Possible
Your support will help turn a dedicated space at Sumbwe Community Hospital into a safe residential setting for detoxification, counselling, recovery and reintegration.
It will help prepare rooms, equip clinical and counselling spaces, provide beds and essential furnishings, and support the team as the facility opens its doors.
